We then used the Continuity editing style to put it all together.
Continuity editing is a style of editing used in cinema and television. Its point is to smooth over any rough parts of your shot for example cutting to a close up of a door opening and the door continuing to open from the other side.
in the making of the shot we had to include three things.
one. The 180 Degree rule
two. Match on action shot
three. Reverse shot
The match on action shot is for example the door opening slightly on the close up of the hand and then continuing to open but from the other side of the door.
The Reverse shot is when the camera switches fro person to person but over the other actors shoulder so both actors are in the shot.
The 180 Degree rule is if one over shoulder shot is on an actors left the next in the conversation should be over the other actors right, so the camera is always on the same side of the actors.
I think over all my group succeeded with the three rules and used them effectively.
But If i could i would go back and reedit the match on action shot with the door because after watching it back it is slightly out.
